The sculpture is numbered 8 out of an edition of 75 and depicts a dappled gray Saddlebred mare in a racking pose with raised left leg. The horse is mounted atop a wood plinth with grass texture to the top, and a brass plaque to the front. The piece is signed and numbered to the plinth top. Francis Eustis is a renown sculptor of horses, with his horse exhibited around the world and shown nearby at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Museum of the Horse.
