Antique Russian .875 Silver Kiddush Cup
Item Details
An antique Russian .875 silver kiddush cup. This 19th century Lithuanian piece features an intricate etched design to the thistle-shaped body. The bowl of the cup rests on a leaf calyx above a turned baluster stem with a stepped base. To the shaped base are Russian hallmarks including the Vilnius city mark, the assay mark for Timofey Tripetsky, with the date mark for 1867, and unknown maker’s mark. Also marked to the base is the 84 zolotniki indicating the .875 silver standard. The approximate weight is 2.905 ozt.
