Chinese Grey Jade Yuan Dynasty Style Wedding Cup
Item Details
A Chinese carved grey jade wedding cup, in the style of Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). The cup features reticulated carved floral handles on two sides and an incised landscape with a motif of chrysanthemums and bamboo on the body of the cup in relief. The stone is well carved and polished, especially to the interior, with scrollwork to the rim perimeter. It has a museum inventory number on the bottom. Accession number 1938.0045.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
