A late 19th century copy painting, executed in oils on stretched canvas, after the original by well-listed artist Thomas Gainsborough ( English, 1727 – 1788). Titled Girl With Pigs, this genre and allegorical painting depicts a young peasant lady seated and pondering next to a few piglets drinking milk. Unsigned, the painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with a decorative appliqué; ready to hang.
Condition
- frame shows wear to finish; craquelure to painting; slight water stains to the back of the canvas.
