Superb 18th Century Georgian Corner Cabinet
Item Details
A superb 18th century Georgian corner cabinet. The late 18th century Irish mahogany corner cabinet has a fine inlaid broken pediment cornice featuring deftly carved satinwood-veneered molding beneath. The cabinet has two astragal glazed doors with delicate mullens which open to reveal three shelves, covered in a silk brocade. The bottom part has two deep mahogany doors which open to reveal two deep shelves. The corner cabinet rests on bracket feet.
Condition
- condition consistent with use and age. One piece is detached from the right corner pediment from original hide glue giving out, but is included with the piece. Minor scratches. Glass is cracked on left door panel in upper corner.
