An original Marvin Mangus (1924-2009) Alaskan landscape oil on canvas. Mangus was an Alaskan geologist and landscape painter, who often painted en Plein air. This piece displays a calm body of water lined with autumnal gold and orange trees. Majestic mountains can be seen in the background, set against a cloudless sky. It is signed at the bottom right corner ‘Marvin Mangus’. It hangs within a pale gray and gilt wooden frame.
