An original Ted Robertson ‘demo’ pastel portrait on brown paper. Ted Robertson (1942-1999) studied art at Colorado State University and spent three years in the U.S Army as an illustrator. He is listed as a member of the Pastel Society of America in New York City and the Pastel Society of the Southwest in Dallas, Texas. His colorful and expressive pastel pieces often focused on Southwestern landscapes and indigenous peoples. This unfinished piece features a youth with short dark hair and a colorful scarf. It is done is shades of vivid red, lilac, pale blue, white and brown. It is signed at the right bottom corner ‘Demo Roswell Art Leaque Ted Robertson PSA 2/11/91’. It has a cream colored mat with a gold tone wooden frame.
Condition
-there are some very minor scuffs on the frame.
