An original pastel portrait by Ted Robertson (1942-1999). Robertson studied art at Colorado State University and spent three years in the U.S Army as an illustrator. He is listed as a member of the Pastel Society of America in New York City and the Pastel Society of the Southwest in Dallas, Texas. His colorful and expressive pastel pieces often focused on Southwestern landscapes and indigenous peoples. This piece features a girl with light brown hair styled with a long colorful patterned scarf. She looks to the right side of the piece and wears a simple blue and white blouse. The background has a blurred effect, in tones of green, pink and gray. It is signed at the left ‘Ted Robertson PSA’. It has a cream colored linen mat with a gold tone frame.
Condition
-there are a few very minor scuffs on the frame.
