An 18th century Italian Faience Albarello (apothecary) jar hand painted in the traditional yellow, blue and green tin glaze. The jar illustrates the profile of a woman wearing a laurel wreath in her hair at the large cartouche surrounded by arabesque scrolls and flowers. The convex shape is an early form designed to make the pottery jar easier to handle.

Condition

Hairline crack at top lip and usage wear at the base and rim.
