EBTH is very excited to have the opportunity to facilitate this Glendale sale offering a wide variety of Japanese antiques and textiles. Our husband and wife clients have been life long antique collectors who took full advantage of a job transfer that resulted in a six year stay in Japan. Among the many, many treasures (not all Japanese by the way) please enjoy perusing; literally dozens of vintage kimonos and haoris (short kimonos) in sumptuous silks, a fabulous circa 1850 ship merchant’s tansu in keyaki wood with iron hardware, a plethora of antique bronzes, a superb antique bronze usubata, a samurai sword, mid-century original art and furniture, Edo period and Meiji era ceramics, a vast collection of glazed sake bottles, a fabulous Chinese carved burl brush pot, antique and first edition books, finely woven and signed vintage ikebana baskets, sterling silver, vintage Japanese gofun dolls, antique and vintage jewelry plus so much more. There is truly something for everyone in this unique sale and we are pleased to offer a preview on Monday evening, September 12th from 4:00-7:00 pm. There is plenty of convenient on-street parking, please don’t hesitate to call Kathleen Warner at 513-289-9690 or Jennifer Gibson at 513-379-4299 with any questions.
