1830s Busson Flutina Accordion Paris
Item Details
An antique 19th century accordion, attributed to being manufactured by Busson of Paris. This ‘Flutina,’ or accordion, boasts an inlaid design, mother of pearl keys, colorful paper that shows when extended, and mahogany case with key. Produces sound when extended and closed; use of keys in play could not be tested due to fragile condition.
Condition
- one missing key, crackling over inlay, wood accents split or off in places, minor soiling, and wear to box as well. Wear is consistent with age, material and use. Produces sound when extended and closed; use of keys in play could not be tested due to fragile condition.
