Antique Newel Post Lamp of Mercury

Item Details

An antique newel post lamp depicting the Greek god Mercury holding his torch standing on an eagle. This piece is made of bronze with a molded signature to the base. Also featured is a brass plaque reading ‘Le Jour’ (The Day). A mark to the underside of the wooden base reads ‘Germany’. A replacement flame globe glass shade is included.

Condition

-In good working condition. The original flame form glass shade is chipped, but a replacement shade is included. Minor scratches and other normal signs of wear present.
