An original oil painting on canvas by listed artist, Ben Foster (American, 1852 – 1926). This scene is appropriately titled Western Landscape depicting a lush countryside. The work is housed in an ornate, gold gilt frame with acanthus appliqué and presented under glass. Exhibition tag and artist information is still intact to the verso. Ben Foster was well known for his depictions of the New England countryside.
