A 20th century Buena Vista plantation saddle. The saddle features a 3’ gusset with an embossed 17’ leather seat, having the ‘Genuine Buena Vista 317’ stamp to side. The Buena Vista saddle was originally developed by a horseman from Buena Vista, Virginia in the late 1800s who sold the pattern, along with the ‘Genuine Buena Vista’ logo for his saddle to saddle makers all over the country.
