Herschede Mahogany Hall Clock with Movement Marked "Germany"
Item Details
A very handsome Herschede Hall clock in a Mahogany case with double arches at the bonnet, a pineapple finial, standing columns at the side of the dial, a moon phase window and ornate brass spandrels. The clock’s movements are only stamped ‘Germany’ indicating the date to be prior to 1909 when movements were still being imported and the dial is printed at the bottom edge to read ‘The Frank Herschede Company, Cincinnati’. The hall clock has Brass Arabic numbers at the steel dial a glass panel at the front cabinet, five tubes and three brass weights. The original crank style key with a wood knob is present and the key to lock both doors is present and working as well. The clock was tested to be working and chimes at every quarter hour.

Condition
The hall clock is in very good condition, tested to be working and chimes. The case is in excellent condition for age. Accuracy of time was not recorded and the moon phase dial is missing paint and shows age.
