EBTH is pleased to facilitate the personal property auction for the estate of Leonard Osso, an avid collector of clocks and timepieces. Mr. Osso was born and educated in Hamilton, Ohio where he was known for his athletic abilities, especially football. After graduating from Hamilton Catholic High, he enlisted in the U.S.Navy and continued playing football having the opportunity to be coached by both Weeb Ewbank and Paul Brown. Mr. Osso has been inducted into four different Halls of Fame and was known for his philanthropic efforts to raise money for scholarships through golf outings.
Throughout his life, Leonard collected clocks of every type from the coveted E.Howard Astronomical #44 Regulator to beautifully bench made banjo clocks, grandfather clocks, wall clocks, mantle clocks, Ansonia swingers, cuckoo-quail clocks, rare rotary clocks, and more. When he was younger, Leonard repaired clocks and sold clocks as well. Other than the opportunity to obtain rarely offered clocks, this sale also presents; an 18K Men’s Rolex President’s watch, a nearly showroom condition 1991 Buick Riviera with just under 21,000 miles, a rare Gywn and Campbell “Grapevine Carbine” Civil War Union Rifle, a 2.6 ct diamond ring, vintage Karl Griesbaum “whistlers”, 1961 Cincinnati Reds World Series Game 5 score-book and ticket stubs, working 25 cent slot machines on cast iron stands, a vast collection of vintage Case “Tested XX” pocket knives and German blades, several marble topped Victorian parlor tables with carved dogs, and so much more.
