Duncan Phyfe Table with Lyre Base

A Duncan Phyfe table with a lyre design to the base. This style of table is a perennial favorite with its rich mahogany finish and gilt brass accents. The two drawers have dovetailing and brass pulls with bird-like backplates. At the base, the wood is carved into two lyres, complete with metal strings. Saber legs extend out from reeded, scrolled knees and showcase carved acanthus leaves. Four gilt brass paw feet sit on casters.
