John Nieto Signed and Numbered Serigraphs "Custer Suite"

A fantastic portfolio containing a book and a set of five limited edition serigraphs signed and numbered by John Nieto. Entitled ‘The Custer Suite’ each is a portrait of one of the principal participants in the battle of the Little Bighorn. The prints are signed by Nieto in metallic pen to lower right corner, and numbered 136/195 to lower left of each. ‘John Nieto Retrospective’ is the book also contained in this set, published by Marco Fine Arts, Inc. of Gardenia, CA. It is a Special Limited Collector’s First Edition, and contains a wonderful variety of color plates of the artist’s work. Mr. Nieto was born in Colorado and grew up near the Apache reservation in New Mexico. Inspired by Native culture and the bold imagery of French Fauve painters, he has created a body of work admired around the world both for its beauty and for its universal humanity. (Stand is not included in this set.)
