A beautiful and vibrant original oil on canvas by listed artist Clifford Beck. The painting features a Native American with his crimson clothing swirling around his body as he gazes solemnly to the right. Beck’s portrayal of action is wonderful. The painting is signed in oil to the lower left as is the copyright symbol. The oil is framed in a walnut toned wood frame with rounded corners.
Navajo Artist Clifford Beck (1946-1995) of Scottsdale Arizona, was well known for his magnificent gestural paintings of Native Americans; he has had works exhibited nationally at the Smithsonian Institute, the Heard Museum, the museum of Northern Arizona, and has been featured in Southwest Art magazine and other publications. In a biography from the Southwest Graphics Collection, he was quoted as saying ’ Each face reveals a story…I analyze faces like a historian analyzes the details of mankind’s written history.’
