An antique Chinese Ming Dynasty large shallow bowl, circa 15th century. This Chinese Export Ware piece is painted cobalt blue (dye from Iran) and white, it features a center bird surrounded by a flowers, greenery and pond. On the outer rim the border has a repetitive scallop design with primitive Chinese symbol inserts. Interesting firing anomalies on the bottom. Very similar to item listed as 14LEX061-075.
