Arthur W. Heintzelman Original Etching, "Young Beethoven"

Arthur W. Heintzelman, listed artist, (1891-1965) original etching is entitled, a study for ‘Young Beethoven’. It is framed and matted in a black and gold wood frame. This was published in an edition of two hundred copies exclusively for members of the miniature print society, in care of the Torch Press Cedar Rapids Iowa, 1943. Heintzelman is known as a painter and more importantly and etcher and teacher. He was born in Newark New Jersey and was a pupil and teacher for many years at the RI School of Design. He studied in Europe, exhibited extensively throughout and he exhibited annually with the National Academy of Design from 1933; Paris; Milan; Rome; Geneva; Lausanne; London, from 1925 to 1935; and nationally from 1917.
Collections of his work can be found in many museums world wide including the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, MA; the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City; the Boston Museum of Fine Arts; the Boston Public Library; the Art Institute of Chicago; the Detroit Institute of Art; the Library of Congress in Washington, DC; the Milwaukee Art Institute; the Cincinnati Art Museum and many more.
