Sonja Morgan is an American TV personality, socialite, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who rose to prominence by appearing in The Real Housewives of New York City. She debuted in the third season of the hit show and remained until the thirteenth season’s finale. In 2023 Morgan starred in Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, a spin-off series in which she and co-star Luann de Lesseps traveled to Benton, Illinois with the intention to “spruce up the town” following the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to her TV work, Sonja has made donations to organizations that support children, animal rights, performing and visual arts, and LGBTQ+ rights. Additionally, she serves as the host of cabaret and burlesque events named ‘Sonja in the City’ in which she raises funds for causes garnering her a New York State Senate Award for her charitable work.
In 2017, she made her off-Broadway debut in Sex Tips for Straight Women by a Gay Man. In that same year she made her stage debut with Sonja in Your City, a limited run of improv shows, in cities like Baltimore, New York, Boston, and Washington DC, which were completely sold out. She has also made appearances in a number of TV shows, including Difficult People, Worst Cooks in America, Kocktails with Khloé and is a frequent guest on Watch What Happens Live.
