Danny Woodburn is a veteran actor of stage and screen with over 30 films (Watchmen, Death to Smoochy, TMNT) and more than 150 television (Bones, Becker, Charmed, Billions) appearances, perhaps best known for Mickey Abbott, Kramer’s volatile friend on “Seinfeld.” Danny graduated from Temple University’s School of Film and Theater, and received their 2001 Alumni Achievement Award. He is also well known as an activist, speaker and acting teacher, who raises awareness about disability as part of diversity inclusion in society and the media, with articles and interviews in internationally recognized press outlets. He co-authored The Ruderman White Paper on Employment of People with Disabilities in Television. As co-vice chair of SAG-AFTRA PWD Committee, he negotiated the Joint Task Force to further the inclusion of people with disabilities. In 2009 he received congressional recognition via the Disability Rights Legal Center’s DREAM Award (Disability Rights in Entertainment Arts and Media). In 2010, he received SAG’s Harold Russell Award, in 2016 Geri Jewel Norman Lear Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2020, in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA30), Danny co-founded ADA Lead On Productions and has produced four award-winning, online productions, hiring 158 established and emerging talent with disabilities – in front of and behind the camera/keyboard – and wining the AUDIENCE HONORS Shorty Award in the Facebook Live category.
