Mr. Solomon’s lifetime passion for gathering artisan glass, porcelain, rare music boxes and Louis XV style furniture becomes evident when browsing the vast collection which is one of the largest in the world. Represented among the treasures are exquisite examples of musical automatons adorned with gemstones and diamonds, hand carved Moser glass, Thorens music boxes designed by Fred Zimbalist, ornately inlaid French furniture, impressive sets of Bohemian stemware and French porcelains. Of particular note is the complete set of Moser crystal stemware with hand painted 24k gold rims in the pattern Splendid which was made specifically for Mr. Solomon. The same pattern had been gifted to Queen Elizabeth II in 1947 by the Czechoslovakian President on the occasion of her wedding.
