Columbus Museum of Art Celebration

EBTH is honored to collaborate with the Columbus Museum of Art presenting this year’s Celebration Sale while also paying tribute to the museum’s Executive Director and CEO, Nannette Maciejunes.

With Nannette at the helm, the Museum’s mission has been to create great experiences with great art for everyone. Nannette has served as the executive director and CEO of the Columbus Museum of Art for 20 years. She calls her time with the Museum “the dream of a lifetime.” As her career advanced from curator to greater leadership roles, Nannette became increasingly aware of the power of art to express our lived experiences, inspire new ways of thinking and doing and help us create a more compassionate world. She has worked tirelessly to make the Museum a place that serves our whole community and where all people can find themselves reflected every day in our galleries and our programs. This includes transforming the Museum collection. Today it is quite different from what it was 20 years ago, holding wonderful and important works of art by artists of color, women artists, LGBTQ artists and many others that collectively portray the dreams and experiences of all of us. Nannette leaves the Columbus Museum of Art a more globally focused and inclusive institution and a place where everyone belongs.

When you ask Nannette what the highlight of her career at the Columbus Museum of Art has been, she will tell you she has loved working with our incredible and passionate Museum family of talented museum professionals; our dedicated volunteers, community members, and artists; and our loyal members. Nannette believes this museum only exists today because of the many generations of people who have believed in its mission, have been committed to its public value, and have invested generously in securing its future.

Proceeds of this sale will provide critical operating support to the Museum’s award winning programs, exhibitions, cherished collections, and access for our diverse community every day.
