EBTH is honored to present furnishings, fashion, home decor, and medical equipment collectibles from the estate of Dr. Ling Paras and Gloria Paras. A family physician with a specialty in OB GYN, Dr. Paras practiced and traveled frequently to the Philippines, during which he and Gloria collected East Asian furnishings, art, clothing, and jewelry. The inspiration the Paras family felt carried into their home as they raised their children in Batesville, Indiana. Dr. Paras was known in Batesville and the surrounding areas as a family physician, as he delivered many of the residents through the 20th century. Renovations to their home, designed by Ling, an architect at heart, matched their eclectic and sophisticated tastes reflecting their numerous travels abroad and influenced by Ling’s family home in the Philippines. A selection of the family’s collection is presented for bidding through Monday, December 20th.
