Tom Kuelbs, known for his sharp wit and savvy observations, was a Chicago native before settling in Cincinnati where he joined WLWT as the News Director. While working at the NBC affiliate, he mentored many employees in the newsroom with gracious and kind guidance. He was also instrumental in launching Jerry Springer’s career as a news anchor. Tom enjoyed indulging his passion for the Cincinnati Symphony, his sense of humor once again evident in naming his canine companion “Poochini”.
