Beechwoods was built in 1839 by Colonel Thomas Catlett Buckner, an officer in the War of 1812. Beechwoods is a Kentucky Historic Landmark and remained in the Buckner family until 1896. The present owner, an executive with the Cincinnati Reds, restored the glory of this gracious Federal style home, furnishing it with both period pieces and modern furniture.
