EBTH is honored to present this passionately curated collection of fine antiques, art, sterling silver and decor from both the well appointed home of the late Jane H. Roesch and her beloved Merryvale Antiques shop in Shadyside (Pittsburgh, PA). Jane was born in Oklahoma then settled in Pittsburgh after marrying William Roesch, former CEO of United States Steel. Following her husband’s untimely death from cancer in 1983, Jane continued to travel extensively while employing her discriminating eye to accumulate the beautiful items we offer today. Aside from Jane’s obvious talents, she was applauded for her commitment and financial support of many institutions serving the Pittsburgh community. Perhaps most notable was her donation of a significant steel sculpture by Richard Serra to the Carnegie Museum of Art in honor of her husband in 1992. Please enjoy perusing the sale.
