A noted Cincinnati entrepreneur, educator, and philanthropist, Mr. Goering is the founder of the Goering Center for Family and Private Business at the University of Cincinnati; a leadership and business training center whose mission is to improve the vitality of family and private firms throughout the region. Through the Goering Center, the university offers a family and private business certificate; the first of its kind offered by any College of Business nationwide.
Included in the auction are paintings by Charles Meurer, John Henrici, and R. Elgart; sculptures by Anthony Quinn, Paul Braslow, and Peter Mandala; as well as a collection of Romweber/Batesville and Mission style furniture. Also from the Goering collection as well as other estates, are included many fine furnishings from world travels; including 18 oriental carpets, books, crystal, sterling, gold and diamond fine jewelry, and many other collectibles.
