Built in 1928 by German carpenters, the house sits on 110 acres in the heart of the Village. It was built for a family that loved the outdoors and hunting. It has 40 rooms, 18 bedrooms, and authentic two foot stone walls. The house is thus named because after a day of fox hunting, the hounds were put up, the horses led to pasture, and the riders relaxed by the grand fireplaces in the home. Items of interest include the beautiful jewelry, carved antiques, art, vintage pool table, and dinner bell.
