Fred and Susan Borthwick have been creating, selling and exhibiting artwork since the late 70’s. Having met at Columbus College of Art and Design, ceramics quickly became their passion for the next 40 years and beyond. Fred went on to earn his MFA in Ceramics from Notre Dame University and Susan earned her MA in Art Education from The Ohio State University. Needing to support their habit of making art along with raising a family, Fred worked in IT for 20 years and Susan taught Art at a local high school for 23 years. Throughout this time both Fred and Susan continued to make and sell their work. Now retired, they look forward to downsizing and moving closer to family where they will continue to own and operate their ceramic studio, Borthwick Design. The artwork currently for sale on EBTH spans a forty year history of creativity and includes drawings, prints, paintings, ceramic sculptures and functional ceramics.
