EBTH is proud to present this sale of the estate of Betty Nelson. Mrs. Nelson furnished her home as a monument to 18th Century art. Elegant recreation paintings from the Heritage Art Galley are framed in ornate Rococo gilt frames representing art from the Age of Enlightenment. Classic portraiture by David, Gainsborough, Leighton and other Masters were exhibited in the style of the Parisian Salons enhanced by recreation statues of antiquity and tapestries of the period. Also included in the auction are original crystal pieces, a set of Presidential style Lenox Westchester china, Faberge flutes, Limoges and Herend porcelain and exquisite artworks in needlepoint and oil on Masonite paintings by Betty Nelson.
