EBTH is proud to present various treasures from a Cincinnati landmark, the Cantaloupe King’s home. This North Avondale mansion was dubbed “The Cantaloupe King Mansion” due to Stephen Gerrard, who was the first to discover a way to transport fresh cantaloupe from Colorado to the Midwest and East Coast without it going bad along with developing iceberg lettuce and Alberta peaches. He made his fortune through those endeavors along with his development of refrigerated trucking systems. Items of particular interest are the vintage Hamilton Industries® electronic drafting table, the antique Sellers® baker’s kitchen unit, and the pair of Louis XV Bergere chairs. Enjoy perusing the items from this landmark home, including a fine array of furniture, decor and collectibles.
