EBTH is hosting an online auction for the Worcester Historical Museum featuring a curated collection of artwork from Massachusetts artist Emily Burling Waite, who is best known for her oil portraits, etchings and still-life paintings. When she passed away in 1980, her son locked up her art studio in Worcester and rented out the house. When he died in 2013, the studio’s contents became available to the Museum—work that spans nearly 80 years, from art schools she attended in her youth to the last year of her life. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Museum.
