The rocks, minerals and gems in this collection were acquired during the period of 1960-1980 from Ohio (Pugh Quarry, Sylvania, Hillsboro, Caeser’s Creek, Flint Ridge), Indiana (Corydon), Ontario (Bancroft), Arkansas (Hot Springs), New York (Herkimer/Middleville, Pierrepoint, Power’s Farm), South Dakota (Fairburn/Custer) and Idaho (Big Elk Mountain). Many of these locations are no longer accessible to collectors increasing the value and significance of these specimens.
