“Our home was built by Civil War veteran, Harlan Chapman in 1886. Known as the Hedges, it was named after the Osage orange trees planted in lieu of fencing. Once part of a fifty five acre dairy farm, only seven acres remain, and antique black bell that once called the cows, now calls the kids for dinner. And yet, while it is a pleasure and a privilege to live at the Hedges, after 22 years, it’s time to part with some of our treasures. Torn between restoring the house and hunting for period pieces, we often found ourselves at the antique stores on the weekends. We are excited to pass along beautiful porcelain, an antique phone and 19th century furniture.” -Kathy from Ohio
