Group of Eight Civil War Era Encased Postage Stamp Tokens

Item Details

A group of eight Civil War era encased postage stamp tokens. During the Civil War, postage stamp tokens became substitutes for coins. Included are three 3-cent tokens, a 5-cent token, two 10-cent token, and two 1-cent tokens. Tokens measure approximately 24 mm in diameter. The tokens presented in an album measuring 10′ × 8.25′. The tokens are circulated and worn.
