A 1960s vintage Enid Collins of Texas For the Birds wooden box purse. The rectangular shaped purse is styled with a curved white resin top handle, gold tone hardware including a turnlock clasp and white leather accents. The hand decorated face of the purse depicts two birds perched on a tree branch in tan and turquoise hues with turquoise, emerald and amber color rhinestone embellishments; marked ‘for the birds’ and ‘e c ©’ to the lower corners. The interior lid has an attached round mirror and is marked ‘the Original Box Bag by Collins of Texas hand-decorated for You! copyright 1966 enid collins’.
