Seven Caroline Williams Wedgwood Cincinnati Plates
Item Details
A set of seven Wedgwood Cincinnati plates. Each white porcelain plate is designed with a scalloped edge, three floral motifs around the rim, and black transferware images of original drawings by Cincinnati artist Caroline Williams. The plates included are Tyler Davidson Fountain (1971), Elsinore Tower (1970), Suspension Bridge (1974), Mt. Adams Incline (1969), Bridge in Eden Park (1972), View from Devou Park (1968), and Delta Queen (1973). These plates made in England by Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston were offered exclusively by Newstedt Loring Andrews from Cincinnati. Each is marked to the underside with the plate title, description of the landmark, maker’s marks and the statement that the plates are Limited Editions.
