A Marguerite S. Pearson framed poster print of her 1928 oil on canvas ‘At The Melodeon’. Marguerite S. Pearson (1898-1978) was a famous 20th-century American female artist who produced genre, still life and portrait paintings. During the 1930s and ‘40s, Pearson made a living by mass producing her paintings of everyday women conducting chores and enjoying leisure activities, such as this woman playing the melodeon. Pearson’s reproduced signature, as part of the print, is at the top right-hand corner. The wooden frame has a gold distressed paint. Condition
The frame and poster are in very good condition. The backing has been ripped and taped back together.
