A 20th century wooden and fiber Dan mask from Liberia. This mask is embellished with plastic beads, cowrie shells, densely woven fibers, red fabric, and metal bells. It would have been worn as part of a larger costume during festivals and ceremonies.

Condition

- heavy dust, dirt residue, and accretions covers surface; fibers are fraying and breaking; scratches, dents, chipping, and cracking to wood.
