A pastel and gouache painting on paper titled Eleven’s by Anne Marsh Evans (Canada; 1923- 2015), circa 1975. This painting depicts red and blue kettles loosely rendered and standing on a white cloth. The artist’s signature is present to the lower right of the painting and gallery label to the verso. Unframed.
Anne Marsh Evans was born in England and attended the Nottingham College of Art. She ultimately immigrated to London, Ontario in 1946 and became a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in the watercolor division. Pursuing an artistic career, Evans earned the title of art coordinator for the London Separate School system and later became the head of the art department at Sarnia Central Collegiate. Her work hangs in private and public collections, including that of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle.
