An unusual yet delightful reproduction of a section of the famous Bayeux Tapestry, which depicted, among other things, the conquering of England by William the Conquerer in 1066. This piece depicts Norman cavalry and a ship of knights, preparing for their voyage, banded by floral motifs and fantastical creatures. Appears to be machine woven.
