A mid to late 20th century untitled painting by English artist John Clymer, also known as John Moris (b. 1932). This Impressionist style oil painting depicts a panoramic view of moored and sailing ships near a coastal village. The painting is signed to the lower right and presented in a large gilt frame.
John Clymer was born in Brighton, England and went on to study at the Royal Academy. He has gained recognition as an Impressionist style painter of coastal scenes and landscapes throughout the United States and England. He is known to sign his works under the pseudonyms ‘John Moris’ and ‘John Roby’ to no longer be confused with an earlier American painter by the name of John Ford Clymer.
