A Seth Thomas & Sons Victorian figural mantel clock. The clock is circa 1876 and is made from cast spelter with a gold metallic finish. It features a sculpted depiction of a classical female figure with a horn reading a book. The clock features faces in relief, bird-shaped side handles with a thick beveled glass, and a brass front door. The door displays a white enamel face with black Roman numerals and hands, and two key arbors. The clock has an ornate base with vines in relief and tapered metal feet. Other features include an 8 day time and strike movement with chimes on the half hour and hour.
