A hand painted porcelain trinket box from Hungarian maker Herend. The ‘First Edition’ box has a rectangular profile with truncated corners and a fitted lid. The box is decorated with a large leopard painted to the center of the lid featuring Herend’s iconic fish scale pattern in rust. The box is finished with gold painted detailing and is marked to the underside ‘Herend Hungary Handpainted First Edition 7987 / VH-5L09
