A first edition hand-painted Herend porcelain figurine. The piece depicts a mare and foal nestled together in reclined positions with nudging muzzles and bent legs. The iconic fishnet pattern in green adorns this white bodies with gilding to the nostrils and hooves. The piece bears a maker’s mark to the underside above the form and pattern codes with a ‘H97’ date code indicating production in August of 1997.
