Item Details
A group of two 1940s Soviet Union communist propaganda posters. The 1940 work designed by Nikolai Denisoz and Nina Vatolina depicts Vladimir Lenin and reads in Russian ‘We say LENIN, by which we mean the PARTY, we say the PARTY, by which we mean LENIN’. The work printed in 1948 was designed by Viktor Ivanov and titled Slaves Are Standing Up Straight. The pieces are printed as offset lithographs on paper and presented mounted on paperboard backing.
