Paul Chesley (American, b. 1946) is a noted photojournalist, who has worked extensively all over the world for National Geographic. He took photography classes in Colorado in the 1970s, attending a National Geographic workshop led by Robert Gilka, the director of photography for the society. He began shooting assignments for the society in 1975 and has had numerous assignments with National Geographic and has published books of his work. His work focuses on realism and depicts various cultural moments throughout the world.
